Email + SMS Marketing
Sometimes the original is still the best, and arguably email marketing is still the most effective digital marketing tool to keep your client base informed, engaged and coming back for more.
Google Advertising focuses on landing you new business while Email Marketing constantly reconnects you with your customers. If you spend the time to plan your campaigns and provide good value in content or offers those customers will keep reading what you send.
Add a first name to your marketing message and see an instant impact as an impersonal email is transformed into a letter to a valued client.
This personalisation technique uses variable data, and it doesn’t stop with a first name. Anything you can provide in a spreadsheet can be imported and inserted into an otherwise templated email.
Here’s a quick example:
Hi [firstname],
We’re proud to have been doing business with [businessname] since [firstorderyear].
We would like to offer a [%off] off your next purchase of [productpurchasedrecently] as a thank you.
All the best [salesrep]
SMS / MMS marketing is almost always read. However if you are sending low value messages three times a week your message receivers will quickly reply “STOP”.
Less is definitely more when using SMS marketing. Sending your best promotions and deals to reconnect with your customers is a great way of getting repeat business. The customer had a great experience when they purchased from you originally and SMS marketing can put you top of mind again.
Also make sure to not send a generic message to ongoing customers. Instead start with “Hi Bill,” and see better results as Bill feels valued and remembers fondly his last experience with you.
Don’t forget snail mail! It still works and for some industries and situations it works better. Snail mail is almost always opened as there still is something special about getting something physically in the mail (especially since everyone else has gone digital).
Print and post campaigns are now all created online so no licking stamps, folding flyers or running to the post box before 6pm. Consider switching up your marketing with a physical mail campaign to engage your customers across all mediums.
These services can be managed independent of our other services. We have no lock in contracts so if you’d like to meet to discuss your marketing strategy, please get in touch.
After years of working from word of mouth, to grow my business I found that I need a google presence. Having no idea how to do this, I approached Potent web design and it was the best decision I could make. These guys are so helpful and always willing to spend the time to help me.
